Following the practical knowledge transfer towards Sanimed International Impex S.R.L., having as main goal the optimization of the current technology applied for the obtaining of collagen forms for biomedical applications, the following results are expected:
(i) - enhancement/increase of processing yields, due to the optimization of the colloidal solutions purification operations and the replacement of dialysis by ultrafiltration;
(ii) - improvement of the certainty degree of product quality assurance, by the increase of batch reproducibility and significant reduction of the time taken to complete the purification step, within the whole manufacturing process of atelocollagen colloidal solutions;
(iii) - diversification of the raw materials range, due to the real-time adjustment of the processing parameters in the advanced purification step;
(iv) - improvement of personnel working skills, by supplemental professional training;
(v) - better interconnection between the academic staff and the company professionals, with mutual benefits concerning the enhancement of future cooperation area.
